THURSDAY 10 MAY 2007 - STEVE KING Two Essex Olympian League clubs have recently failed to turn up for their away fixtures. By Upminster's own admission on their website, their future in the Essex Olympian League is in serious doubt following two recent away games at Old Chelmsfordians and Ongar Town where matches never took place due to Upminster being unable to field a side and the points were awarded to the home team. Westhamians' game on Tuesday 8th May at Hutton was called off at the last minute due to Westhamians being unable to field a team. They are scheduled to play next Tuesday at Writtle and Saturday 19th May away at Basildon Town so anyone thinking of going to either of these games should be cautious. THURSDAY 10 MAY 2007 - LEE RUSBRIDGE Baldock Town will be taking on St Ippolyts in the North & Mid Herts League's Benevolent Shield Final on Tuesday 15 May 2007. The match is a 7.30pm kick-off at Hitchin Town FC. Admission will be £3 Adults and £1 Concessions. There will be a programme for this match. St Ippolyts are the new Premier Division Champions and Greg Cup Winners, so they are going for a treble this season. Baldock Town are likely to be league runners-up and have been runners-up in the Herts Junior Cup this season. Town also are the only team domestically to beat St Ippolyts this season, winning 3-1 in April at the Recreation Ground.
